What Our Clients Had to Say About Working With The Brian Kondo Real Estate Team | PEGGY & HAROLD




I’ve touched on our Mission Statement in past blog posts, but I don’t think I’ve ever shown the whole statement on this blog before.  I thought this would be a good time to do so since our work with Peggy and Harold highlights exactly why everyone on The Brian Kondo Real Estate Team is shown it during the interview process and bases all their actions on it.



 

OUR MISSION STATEMENT

 

The mission of the Brian Kondo Real Estate Team is to provide such outstanding service when assisting our clients with their real estate needs, that they will have no hesitation in using our services again, or recommending us to their friends, relatives, co-workers, neighbours and acquaintances.  In short, we want “A CLIENT FOR LIFE!”



 

All our efforts are geared to meet this end.  As we strive to accomplish our mission, we base our actions on the following governing values:



 
  1. We will constantly strive to be the most professional sales representatives possible.  Knowledge, continuing education and hard work will help us achieve the success that comes with being the very best we can be.



 
  1. We will always be as prepared as possible for any situation that arises during the buying and / or selling process and are committed to providing superior service to our clients.



 
  1. We will take the time to listen to our clients’ needs and produce a plan of action which will ultimately result in the purchase or sale (or both) of their real estate.



 
  1. We value our team members – we recognize that The Brian Kondo Real Estate Team is only as good as every member of the team.



 
  1. We practice teamwork – we consider all those that work for or associate with us as extended members of The Brian Kondo Real Estate Team and that each has a unique contribution to make to our team effort.



 
  1. We welcome innovation and adapt quickly to change – we constantly evaluate what we’re doing, then compare it to what is possible and what is needed.  Nothing in real estate, or for that matter life, remains the same and neither can we.

Even after the deal is done and the closing date has come and gone, our clients are encouraged to contact us any time they have real estate questions, problems or concerns.  From the price of the neighbour’s home that just sold, to questions about their mortgage, or even to settle a bet about a real estate-related question, we will always have the time for our clients.  






 

These are the top priorities of The Brian Kondo Real Estate Team.  Meeting them will enable us to realize our mission.




 

Before I became a real estate agent, I ran a community centre for the City of Toronto’s Recreation Department.  At the end of each season, I was trained to sit down with my staff to evaluate all our programs.  Then we would make recommendations on which ones to keep and which ones to drop for next year.  I brought that planning process with me to my real estate business, which is why I’m a firm believer in coming up with a mission statement like the one above. 



 

As you will read from the testimonial that Harold and Peggy sent me below, and the regular communication between them and us even years after they moved into the home, you will see how our actions are geared to following our mission.  











 

Dear Brian,



 

Harold and I received your note, and we want to let you know how we felt about the experience of working with you and especially Henry.  



 

We are, as you can imagine, really pleased and very excited to be finally moving into our new home. 



 

The process was long as you know because of the needs of my grand piano. It took us a while to find the “right” location which would allow us to entertain friends and family and still accommodate my piano.

 

 

Throughout this process, Henry was very patient and caring. He did not overwhelm us with his thoughts to put pressure on us, but he did relate very valuable information about various locations which helped us in making our selection.

 

 

We needed to know what he knew about different houses which included the pros and cons of various amenities including the overall condition of the property.

 

 

The first house we put a bid on would have been too small and I sensed that Henry thought so, but he did not verbalize this type of approach. 



 

We had so little time and yet the process took so long, the last thing we needed was someone pushing us.

 

 

I felt really good about our treatment by your team and would recommend both of you to any of my friends. 



 

Thank you so much for your help with our new home!!!  We are looking forward to living in Ajax!

So, as you can see, Henry, the agent assigned to work with Harold and Peggy, implemented governing values #3 and #6 when helping them find the right house.  He listened to their needs, especially re: the grand piano to come up with a plan of action.  He had to also constantly evaluate what they were doing and had to change course to find them the perfect home.



 

About four years after their purchase, they reached out to me to get an opinion of value letter for insurance purposes.  There was no intention of selling, but I had no problem providing the letter for them (this can be found in governing value #7). 



 

A couple of years after that, Harold asked Henry to drop by to see the updates they had done to the home and to give a ballpark of what it was worth then.  There was no intention of selling but again, as per governing value #7, we encourage our clients to contact us any time they have a real estate-related question.  We will always have the time for them.



 

Later that same year, they contacted us again.  They wanted to purchase a vacation property with Peggy’s son, who lived just outside Detroit, so we referred them to a top agent in an area between The GTA and Detroit.  This is using governing value #5 (teamwork).



 

Finally, they said in their testimonial that they “felt good about the treatment by our team” and would have no problem recommending us to their friends (as per the actual mission statement).
